LXBP-5 Pavement Roughness Test Apparatus

Pavement roughness is generally defined as an expression of irregularities in the pavement surface that adversely affect the ride quality of a vehicle (and thus the user). Roughness is an important pavement characteristic because it affects not only ride quality but also vehicle delay costs, fuel consumption and maintenance costs. The World Bank found road roughness to be a primary factor in the analyses and trade-offs involving road quality vs. user cost. Roughness is also referred to as “smoothness” although both terms refer to the same pavement qualities.

It is suitable for high-grade highways, urban roads, airport runways and other pavement engineering construction inspections, completion acceptance, and important data indicators for road maintenance.

It is not suitable for measurement on roads with many potholes and severe damage.

It is suitable for road surface construction inspection and road surface flatness inspection such as highways, urban roads and airports.

It has the functions of collecting, recording, analyzing, printing, etc., and can display real-time measurement data of the road surface.
