Use the 6” x 6” x 6” Cube Mold to cast concrete compressive strength specimens or specimens for mortar penetration testing.

Cube molds are commonly used in cement, mortar, grout and concrete compound testing to examine the compressive strength of various mixes. They work to prep sets of samples before further analysis. Cube testing is both a simple and accurate way to ensure cement quality in the field and therefore important in many areas of construction.

This durable one-piece mold is constructed from heavy-duty plastic and engineered with reinforcing ribs.

Provides consistent, quality test specimens. Specimen removal is simple, fast and easy. Just remove the plug from the hole in the bottom of the mold and apply compressed air to the hole. The mold will slide right off the hardened specimen.

In substitution of plug, tape can be used to cover the hole.

Concrete cube tests are performed to determine the compressive strength and other overall characteristics of concrete. In this destructive testing method, concrete cubes are crushed in a compression testing machine. The cubes used in this test have a dimension of 150 x 150 x 150 mm provided the largest aggregate does not exceed 20 mm.
